We are delighted to announce that Booth Golf and Leisure have been nominated for Sustainability Project of the Year in the 2024 England Golf Awards.

The governing body recognised our transformation of Headingley Golf Club’s practice facilities – funded entirely by the importation of clean waste soils destined for landfill – for its ‘contribution to the game and community’.

Head of BGL, Rob Bristow, said: “We are delighted to have been nominated and see this as the start of an ecological journey where we can make a real difference to golf.

“It is vital to consider the sustainability aspect of every project and we are 100 per cent committed to delivering tangible benefits in every development we are involved with, ranging from water management, tree-planting, habitat development, soil recycling – and everything in between.

“We are market leaders in delivering sustainable wins in golf and in most projects, this can be delivered at no cost to the club using our funded importation model.

“We would like to thank England Golf for their recognition and support.”
