We are back with our latest project update for November 2022.
Since our last update we have pushed forward with a variety of different golf course developments.
We are now entering the winter period, which brings it usual site difficulties, but we’ll continue to upgrade facilities using our sustainable development model.
Manchester Golf Club
The importation works are now on the new driving range and short game practice facility. Since then, we have completed different engineering works such as comprehensive drainage system, practice green and practice bunkers.
A grow-in phase is currently being managed to establish the turf across the new facilities.
We’ve also installed new concrete material bays for Greenkeeping team.
The final part of construction is now underway with the creation of the range bays and car park.
Headingley Golf Club
The short game practice facility has now been completed and a grow-in is being managed to ensure the turf is completely established before high-levels of foot traffic.
Since completion of the final topography, we’ve installed a range of tee blocks, practice greens, practice bunkers, drainage and irrigation. The short game area is expected to be ready for use in spring/summer 2023.
Work on the long game area is currently underway with soil imports continuing whilst we create the agreed topography.
Concrete material bays have also been installed near to the Greenkeeping shed.
Vicars Cross Golf Club
Since the last update we have begun the practice facility improvement works at Vicars Cross Golf Club. This includes the redevelopment of the existing driving range and the creation of a new short game practice facility.
We are currently creating the new driving range to Ken Moodie’s (Creative Golf Design) design.
The project is utilising a sustainable soil importation scheme to help create the new topography. Once the shape has been finalised golf features will be installed to bring the new practice facilities to life.
Future Projects
We are excited to see the start of a number of projects in 2023 which we will update you in due course.
The technical team have been busy across a number of different sites where we have been conducting surveys to support future planning applications.
Our next update will be in Spring/Summer 2023.
