Previously facing challenges with poor drainage on the existing practice ground, we successfully completed the development project at Manchester Golf Club, transforming the site into a state-of-the-art golf facility.
The completed development now boasts a brand new 300-yard driving range complete with trackman technology, providing exciting challenges for practice sessions. The longstanding drainage has been addressed, making it easier to retrieve golf balls. Additionally, the project included the establishment of a new short-game area, a golf academy, and improvements to the overall site infrastructure.

Working collaboratively with Manchester Golf Club’s committee and Gaunt Golf Design, we have turned the vision for the existing driving range into reality. The redesigned range looked to address drainage issues with the overall gradient gradually increasing to improve golf ball visibility.
Furthermore, a dedicated short-game area and golf academy and have designed to accommodate junior golfers, providing practice greens and bunkers for skill development before taking on the longer 9 or 18 holes.
To facilitate the development, adjustments were made to the site infrastructure, enhancing accessibility off the main road.
We successfully obtained all the necessary planning permissions from Rochdale Council by providing comprehensive master plans for the on-site developments. The planning application encompassed improvements to the existing golf driving range, enhanced facilities such as car parking, a short game area, golf academy, covered tees, and upgraded access roads.
Our technical team secured environmental permissions for the importation of local construction soils, adhering to a CL:AIRE materials management plan for a sustainable approach.
The construction phase has been completed ahead of schedule, formally concluding in May 2023, with a 12-month defect period.
Throughout the construction process, our team diligently managed the importation of local construction soils, ensuring compliance through rigorous analysis. The precisely shaped soil now mirrors the agreed design, and our finishing team meticulously brought the facilities to life.
